Black Mirror Show Package
Black Mirror is a British television anthology series created by Charlie Brooker that features speculative fiction with dark and sometimes satirical themes that examine modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. It’s now owned by Netflix.
Regarding the programmer's content and structure, each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy.
This concept for the Black Mirror show open captures the contrast inherent in the series; the duality between technology and humanity, which is juxtaposed and emphasized across its episodes. Using minimalist and vaguely technological elements, this idea alludes to how technology takes over human thinking and living... Much of what is seen in the episodes are exaggerations of how technology advances and affects our lives in negative and dangerous ways. This treatment touches on combining technology and psychology. Using a black and white color palette emphasizes the duality in the narrative and the sharp key lighting alludes to cold mechanical light inherent in the technological world.
It starts with darkness
Spheres come in and as they turn around, they open like eyes, but they are camera lenses
As the lens opens, it looks around and looks straight to the camera. Cameras goes into lens/eye
Inside the eye/lens there is a spiral made out of lens/eyes
As it goes to the inside the spiral, cables swing in frame with a security camera attached to them, while spheres get attached to plugs and light up
We go into a security camera with broken glass where there is glass floating in space
The broken glass repairs itself including the crack on the original logo
